i am making a very limited run of exclusive eskimeaux tapes with handmade packaging. each one is different since they are all recorded individually. i think they are pretty cool. they will be available at my show in Washington Square Park on May 24th. i will be playing with Henry Crawford, Felix Walworth, Calamus, and Eskalators.
it will be a blast.

everything has been really hectic before/during/since Br'er tour. i have been trying to get these recordings done for the new album, but i left my computer charger in Winston-Salem, NC so i'm stuck in my head until i get that back. if anyone actually reads this and wants to lend me a macbook charger for the mean time, i would be eternally grateful.

in the mean time, i have been able to demo one new song. there are a billion more things that are supposed to happen in this recording that i don't have enough battery to accomplish.

the last show of our tour was only great because we got to see our new friend Noah Britton play. he is amazing. everyone should listen to his music and force/pay him to be a live jukebox in their living rooms.

yup.

in other news, catBruce is in New York now living with a woman named Hillary and her catMarble. he is happy.

last night was halloween and i played a set with br'er at chernobyl in west philly. i dressed up as br'er. here are some photos (taken by Emily Kohl-Mattingly).

Ugh God also played and were really awesome. my roommate katie dressed up as a blunt, which was obviously the coolest costume there.

hello.

lately i have been working on random songs here and there. ever since i lent out my macbook to my bandmate darian production has been slow. i left all of my raw music files on his computer, so i have to go get them from him tomorrow. i have been working a lot with br'er and doing recording whenever i can. tonight i finished the frilly philly version of Dreamy Pop Song II (from the previous eskimeaux release "iglu songs"). it will be officially released on The (upcoming) Windstar EP.

on top of these kids. i went to dan deacon's two-night round robin extravaganza show and it was awesome. beach house was phenomenal and dan deacon was the shit and everything else was whatever. i did, however, also thoroughly enjoy the clown. he was the best part of "eyes night" beside beach house.

i have successfully completely skipped, blocked out, and left the month of june undocumented. F.
i feel like a total douchebag; i'm sitting outside of The Last Drop in my new city (because i can't afford to go inside and buy something) stealin their wifi so i can blog. go me.
in other news, i live in philadelphia now. i am living with my friend kate and her boyfriend cody and it is very nice, but also a little bit stressful. i haven't recorded anything since i released Helleaux, so i'm going to get on that so everyone can revel in gay.

spidermums came all the way from kansas city and stayed two nights at my house. they are great on all kinds of levels. they left today and that was sad. drew and i made a stop-motion film, which you can watch below. it is called chomp womp. i have to make up some dialogue for it eventually, but for now it is another brandon can't dance video.
